University of Utah Health officially opened the new Farmington Health Center on October 4 with a ribbon cutting ceremony. This is the U’s 12th clinic along the Wasatch Front. It provides more convenient access to health care for those living in Davis County. The 136,000-square-foot facility offers urgent care, specialty and primary services, as well as child care for patients, radiology, an optical shop, a pharmacy, access to Huntsman Cancer Institute and Moran Eye Center.
It was through the support of many people that a vacant piece of ground was transformed into a place of healing. We are grateful for their support.
The new facility will provide the same nationally top rated University of Utah health care, without the commute. While the facilities are crucial, it’s the top-notch people who provide care within the new center that set it apart as excellent. The ancient Greek physician, Hippocrates, claimed that “wherever the art of medicine is loved, there is a love of humanity.” We are confident the more than 60 providers and 150 staff, who work at the Farmington Health Center love medicine and care deeply about their patients. They now have the facility and the ability to change and save lives.
